Ever since I was a young girl, I have enjoyed watching my mother baking the most incredible cakes and desserts at home. I was always keen to lend a hand, whether it be to help mix, measure or decorate, and baking quickly became a great passion.
I soon learned to bake independently and began to experiment with my own recipes and ideas in the kitchen. As intolerances and allergies to gluten and dairy became more prevalent, both within the family and beyond, I became determined to create the same delicious flavours and enticing looks of all the family favourite recipes, whilst omitting certain ingredients.
I took the opportunity to draw on my creativity and push beyond the expectations and conventions of ingredients to conjure up new creations and adapt and improve existing recipes to make thee gluten and dairy free.
Cooking food is both an exciting and challenging endeavour that demands persistence, artistry and diligence, but that is guaranteed to be a highly rewarding process which will allow you to both explore and determine the meaning of food to you.
